Presidential Speech Good morning my fellow Americans, my name is Zak Mitchell and I will be running for President. I am the son of a United States Army Colonel and I have seen my father’s commitment to this country. Whether it has been moving his family from one side of the nation to the other or two deployments to the middle east, my father has kept his country in a special place inside his heart. I know that we can all agree, we too share a unique bond with this great nation. As the son of a military leader I have been taught valuable lessons like discipline and that every man who starts at the bottom, or the lowest rank, should be able to, with dedication, progress to a higher or more respectable position. I also have dedicated much of my life to the sport of gymnastics. Gymnastics is known as one of the most difficult sports one requiring dedication, specifically, blood, sweat, and tears. I can recall one day in the gym, I was attempting a new skill and I crashed and burned. The whole gym went silent for a minute as everyone wondered if an army of doctors was needed in the scene. Fortunately, I stood up immediately and my coach told me i was done for the night. I said okay, and the moment he turned around i tried the skill again, luckily this time i had a much better outcome. I refused to let one mistake, though very painful, stop me from progressing. I didn’t allow fear to take over and keep me away from the work I needed to do. As your President, I will always remember my duties, and even in the event of a disaster I will ensure that work gets done. As your President my main goals are to bring jobs back to the American people and protect social security, to reassess our foreign policy and recover our education system. Our jobs have been taken away by foreign countries who offer cheap labor and poor working conditions. As president I plan to offer incentives to companies who keep their industry domestic. Also me and my administration plan to reinstate work projects in low income areas to lower unemployment. Currently social security has a limit of $118,500, but we plan on raising it to $250,000. To explain, the current $118,500 cap means that someone who makes $118,500 puts the same amount into social security as someone who makes significantly more money per year. As for my administration's foreign policy, we plan to continue the War on Terror. We will not stop fighting terrorists until they and their beliefs are vanquished. We respect the Islamic religion, and there are many who practice this religion peacefully. But those who try to use their religion to create and army, set on world domination by force, must be stopped. I must also acknowledge the issues with our current education system. I, my administration, and I’m sure most of my fellow Americans here all agree that standardized tests need to disappear. Recently we have noticed that there has been a strong disapproval of common core and that its effect on education has not been as strong as previous administrations had hoped. Finally, my administration has decided that we plan to fit a student to academic material based on ability. We plan to do this by hiring more teachers to make smaller class sizes, allowing a teacher to connect more personally to each individual student. America, as your President me and my administration will never shy away away from tough decisions. We are dedicated to this country, and her core values and ideas will always be in our hearts and minds before any decision. If you vote for me, I will bring my dedication, my team and my changes to our great country.
